What you’re about to read is the list of the amounts of ashes or hair that we require to transform them into memorial diamonds.
We require either eight tablespoons of ashes or half a cup of hair. Once your order is confirmed, we will send you a measuring spoon to ensure the exact amount needed for processing.
After your order is confirmed, you will receive a submission kit containing everything needed to safely package your loved one’s ashes or hair for return. The ashes or hair should first be sealed in a container, which is then placed inside the provided box for shipping.
Absolutely! We can accept additional remains. You also have the option to send the entire cremated remains, a process known as a “Diamond Burial.” To ensure we provide enough containers and sealing tape for all of your ashes, please inform us of your decision ahead of time.
Of course! We are happy to work with you to find the best solution for your family. For larger families, it is possible to create multiple diamonds. As the sole owner of your loved one’s remains, you may choose not to submit all of the ashes for personal reasons.
If additional material is needed, other family members can provide the required hair at no cost to ensure enough carbon for the diamonds.
From start to finish, our experts handle the remains with the utmost care, carefully processing and purifying them to create a diamond. The necessary amount of material is used for diamond production, while any leftover carbon is safely stored at our facilities in the form of graphite powder.
Once we are certain no additional material is needed for your diamond, the remaining carbon is carefully cremated in a small furnace. If you wish, we can also return the leftover carbon to you and your family, thanks to the precision of our process. Please indicate this preference when placing your order.
Cremated bone fragments refer to pieces larger than 20 millimeters that remain after the cremation process. These fragments typically contain less carbon than fine ashes, which are usually around 1–5 millimeters in size.
Multiple carbon sources are accepted. For example, a combination of approximately 5 grams of hair and eight tablespoons of ashes may be used.
Hair characteristics do not affect the diamond’s color. Natural color, texture, or artificial dyes are removed during the carbon purification process and have no impact on the final diamond.
The required quantities are fixed regardless of diamond size. The equipment used in the process requires a specific amount of carbon to initiate diamond growth. The final size of the diamond depends on the duration of the synthesis process rather than the amount of material provided.
The quantities listed above are sufficient to produce up to three diamonds, depending on the selected size.
The carbon present in the remains can vary. Because this process is permanent, we usually recommend our clients provide us with an extra amount of remains as a backup.
